CHALLENGE: To simplify the sales process, the customer in the past had recognized a tool configured and customized using Siebel 6.3 called UNITY. This system offered changes and improvements in the retail environment that allows the customer to meet business and financial objectives. UNITY is primarily used to process orders for customer requests. The different types of orders include Activation, Bill Payment, SmartPay Replishment, Equipment Upgrade, Change ESN, Equipment Insurance, Equipment Fee and Return/Exchange.

Lots of customization was performed over UNITY to meet the business needs and requirements, and thereby leaving almost no possibility for future Siebel upgrade/migration. Also, there were limitations within UNITY to use the web-based applications. Eventually, these series of problems along with other limitations gave birth to “FUSION”.

COGENT Solution

Our team developed the application called FUSION using Siebel 7.5. The application supports enterprise wide application base and a foundation upon which all products like TMS, Boomerang, Global Product Catalog, eBusiness can be built. FUSION eventually will serve as the front office system for all customer touch-points enabling:

•    Normalized Customer Contact
•    Extensibility to the Web
•    Consistent Customer Data

Fusion was originally developed on Siebel 7.5. At present the application is being upgraded to Siebel 7.8 (Latest Version of Siebel)
